What a day yesterday! We spent the day traveling the Dingle peninsula, viewing many of the ancient historical sights. Had we been on our own with just a guidebook it wouldn’t have meant much, but our guide, Billy, is a professor of Irish anthropology and made each stop incredibly meaningful. One of our stops was at a beach area with rough seas – no swimming. We could hear the rocks rattling as they were tumbled under the surf. The scenery was incredibly beautiful everywhere we looked.
Our evening, again, featured a private concert. Dan went out with the group to a couple of the pubs in town for more music, but I needed a rest so I went to bed early.
Today was an open day. Dan and I chose to spend it walking, where he took more great pictures and I attempted to find a couple of geocaches. One was successful, the other not but the effort took us to places we might not have visited and included information about those places that we wouldn’t have learned. Tonight’s agenda calls for more music in two different pubs in town. Tomorrow is moving day again, on to County Clare.
