We made it! And so did our baggage, which is great because we packed our warm coats and hats in one of the checked suitcases. We were worried at first because our Air France plane arrived in Houston late and then had to have a tire changed, which delayed our departure by an hour and a half. We checked our flight schedule, though, and discovered there was ample time in Paris to get a coffee and get to our next gate.

From Paris we went to Amsterdam and then caught our final flight to Bergen. The sun came out here and it’s not too cold. Still less than the 80s we left behind. Our tour leader, Mattias, is a short, round, jovial Swede. Tonight will be a time to take it easy and catch up on sleep, but tomorrow we tour Bergen & surroundings.
