Last Day of Phase One

Today is our last full day in the Galapagos. We started early with Dan taking a very strenuous hike while I opted for a zodiac ride. Both of us were on the lookout for boobies as this island, San Cristobal, is the only one that has all three species – blue footed, red footed and Nazca. We both spotted some of each. I opted for a final snorkeling and swam with schools of all kind of fish.
Lunch today was a buffet of food produced in the Galapagos, including the beer. This afternoon we have moved to a different spot of the island and will be going for a beach walk. Before dinner there will be a final toast on the Observation Deck as we watch the sun set.
We have made so many friends and memories on this trip!
